Set in the residential area of Penketh on the outskirts of Warrington, Meadowview Care Home offers high-quality residential, dementia and respite care, with particular expertise in supporting those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, on both a permanent and short-term basis. Before a new resident joins, the team takes time to understand their needs, personality and preferences, ensuring care is familiar, calming and personalised from day one.
The bright, single-storey home features 41 individually decorated bedrooms, each with a 24/7 call system, many overlooking secure gardens and the neighbouring meadow, currently home to grazing horses. Spacious communal lounges and patio areas provide a warm setting for relaxation and socialising.
Originally part of a school site, Meadowview retains a close connection with the two primary schools next door, sharing the same access drive. This unique link supports regular intergenerational events, bringing the joy of children's company into residents' daily lives.
A varied activities programme - including exercise classes, arts and crafts, music sessions, themed events and outings - keeps life vibrant and engaging, while the specially trained care team use Care Control systems to record and monitor each resident's care, keeping families updated and reassured.

The home's dementia and residential care is overseen by Home Manager Chris Wilcock, who brings 27 years of experience across hospitals, day centres, rehabilitation centres, domiciliary care and care homes. Over the past decade, Chris has developed a particular passion for working with adults living with dementia, providing compassionate, person-centred support. Chris holds NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care and is currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. Though new to Meadowview, Chris already recognises it as a special place and is committed to bringing the highest standard of care, joy and fulfilment to residents' lives.
